CHER CALVIN ON MJ'S DEMISE

Wait for the vid to load. Is it just me or her voice sounds a little Woody Woodpecker on the vid? But I love her nonetheless.

*scanned from MJ's history album

I was first introduced to MJ's songs through his Dangerous album in 1991. I remember how I was enamored by the elaborate art on the cassette sleeve (or however you call it). And then my love for MTV grew and discovered his classics.

Fastforward 1995, he released HIStory. Saw Scream being played on MTV and I knew I had to get a copy. It was heralded as one of the most expensive videos of our time.

By 1997, he released Blood on the Dancefloor. Again, I swiped a copy from a record store.

I have regretted not watching his concert here in 1996 and I still regret it up til this day.

Never heard of him (at least a new material) until in 2001, a music video of his new song (not featuring him) was played on VH1 while I was channel surfing.

And then in my world of MJ, everything went full-stop - Number Ones didn't reach my radar.

Reading the gossip sites gave me hope for a big MJ media comeback in July.

Not June.

*Who knew he could sketch that well (well i didn't till i bought the cassettes).

CHILDHOOD

The song is a cut from his HIStory album and is part of the Free Willy 2 OST - one of my favorites from the album because it had the "gone too soon" feel to it. I always thought this s ngis MJ's plea to all the accusations thrown his way.

R.I.P.

BOUND 2 BEIJING

When you're suffering from short term memory, you have to pay its consequences. Literally. Forgot to load myself with Uncle Sam's moolah. Only realized it not until I was back home from work - hours before our flight so I had to dash to a 24 hour forex and settled for what's available (meaning it was way over the current exchange rate).

So...

WATCH OUT URBANISTAS!

From DOP:
In the future episodes of Urban Zone, watch out for these fabulous homes... Globe Asiatique's VP for Sales, Divine Lee's modern condominium. It's stunning. It was originally a four-bedroom condo unit until she knocked down all the walls and created one big open space for the common areas and a stunning master bedroom. Not to be missed... Divine shows her to-die-for shoe and bag collection.

Real Estate Diva Divine Lee will be featured on Urban Zone this Sunday! Really admire this lady.

Things that make you go, "I'm not worthy!"

It was an ordinary day at work until a YM box popped up my screen.
Has it ever happened to you that when you wake up in the morning, you feel so lonely and you thought you would die because of such loneliness? yun na-feel ko mare kanina, sa sobrang miss ko sayo. You were the first person that came to mind when I woke up and I got so sad that I couldnt see you.
I had to read it twice just to make sure I absorb every word. Suddenly, it reminded me of how genuinely lucky I felt every time she were at my side.

MADE IN CHINA

*Mandarin Oriental-Beijing, the flagship property in China for the Mandarin Oriental hotel chain caught fire. As you can see, the flagship hotel is very near the CCTV tower (one of China's architectural wonder).

*The blaze erupted in the final hours of the Chinese Lunar New Year as people set off fireworks across the city...

*The modern, angular building was a sign of Beijing's recent transformation and modernization. It had been scheduled to open late last year, but the opening was postponed until this year, though most of the building had been constructed.
*"It was spreading incredibly fast. It was obvious that there was a lot of debris on site -- that debris ignited very quickly," Chaytor said. "Fire took control of building [and] within less than 13 minutes, it went from small flames to being totally engulfed in flames."
The cause of the blaze at the 40-story Mandarin Oriental is not known and there were no reports of injuries, according to CNN staff members who were at the scene. The fire began about 9 p.m. and continued to burn an hour later.

Imagine if there were people inside that building. It would be their biggest scandal next to Melamine.
